Rebecca M. Sudduth

Rebecca Martin Sudduth, age 76, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2014 at her home in Jupiter, Florida. Rebecca was born in Birmingham, Alabama, in July of 1937. She was the daughter of the late Clyde S. and Dean Martin. Rebecca attended the University of Alabama, where she earned a BA in Home Economics and Early Childhood Education. Rebecca and her future husband, Norman, first met in high school chemistry class and later dated in college. They were married in a quiet civil ceremony after he finished his 3rd year of medical school. Two years were spent with her family in the Air Force in Texas, before coming to South Florida to live. Rebecca enjoyed traveling and later in life discovered a love of Wyoming, where she spent half of her time. She is survived by her Husband, Dr. Norman C. Sudduth; her Sister, MaryAnn Pearson; her Daughters, Susan Durant and Shaun Weiler; and five Grandchildren, Samantha Durant, Aimee Durant, Remi Worsley, Evan Weiler and Grant Weiler. She is predeceased by her Daughter, Shannon Sudduth. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL.
