Renee Weaver Johansen

JOHANSEN– Renee Weaver, 48, Morristown, N.J., died Dec. 6, 2009. Beloved wife of 13 years of Scott A. Johansen; devoted mother of school-aged children, E. "River" Johansen and Sophia "Sophie" Johansen. Renee was born April 8, 1961, in Johnstown. She is survived by her parents, Dwight E. and Nan (Ludwig) Weaver of Johnstown; sister, Michele Weaver Good of Elkins, W.Va., and husband, William, and their children, Michael, Nicole, and Celeste, and her husband, Joel Cost; sister, Lisa Dawn Weaver of Pleasant Gap, Pa; her in-laws, Sherman and Janet Johansen of Utah, their children and nieces and nephews. Renee graduated from Greater Johnstown High School in 1979, earned a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University, a master's degree from Harvard University and an MBA from University of Virginia. Renee was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. An investor relations and finance professional, Renee worked for the CSX Corp. and Wheat/First while she lived in Richmond, Va., before marrying Scott Johansen and moving to Memphis, Tenn. There, she worked for Thomas and Betts Corp. as vice president of investor relations before she, Scott, and River moved to Hoboken, N.J. in 1999. In 2000, Renee joined Avon Products Inc., where she served as vice president of investor relations for almost a decade. The family moved to their current home in Morristown in 2007. Renee was a member of the National Investor Relations Institute, the NIRI Senior Roundtable and the Investor Relations Association. She was a chartered financial analyst and a member of the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts. Relatives and friends were invited to a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at Doyles Funeral Home, 106 Maple Ave., Morristown, N.J. A viewing also will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, 2503 Bedford Street, Johnstown, immediately followed by a memorial service with the Rev.
