Richard "Rick" Rieser II

Richard "Rick" Rieser II, 58, of Parkersburg, passed away Monday (Jan. 4, 2010) at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.He was born in Clarksburg, a son of Richard E. Rieser Sr. of Fairmont and the late Ann Audia Rieser.Rick was owner of Professional Contractor and took great pride in his work, recently winning the 2009 readers' choice award for best replacement window installer. He loved Parkersburg Catholic Crusaderettes girls' basketball, the Steelers and the West Virginia Mountaineers.Rick was larger than life and everyone was a friend. He leaves behind many friends. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, was a baseball coach at Tri-C and gave the gift of life through Organ Donation.In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Vicki Bryant Rieser, and together they had the greatest joy of their life, their three children: Richard Rieser III "RJ" of New Orleans, Sarah Rieser of Morgantown and Megan Rieser, a junior at WVU in Morgantown; brother, Edward Rieser (Melanie); sister, Terry Rieser (George); stepsister, Patsy Grindo (Greg), all of Fairmont; stepbrother, Roger Howard (Peggy) of Charlotte, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Vera Rieser.Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Bill Matheny as celebrant. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral and Cremation Services, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with a Christian wake service at 8 p.m. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Parkersburg Catholic Schools or the Camden Clark Foundation.
