I am an historian of medicine (PhD from U. Wisc), writing a book about the history of medical school admission.Dr. Katz has a short biography in a book about the Navy V-12 program during WW2 I am hopeful a family member might have some additional details--he was certainly an active Navy officer as well as a physician. I live in Whittier (I am retired , but still active in my scholarship.) thanks for any help.

I'm sorry to hear about Bob's passing. While he was in the Marine Corps at Camp Le Jeune, North Carolina, we enjoyed a friendly relationship for a couple of years. He was a warmhearted and loving friend for whom I had the greatest respect and fondness. I'll always remember him . . . till we meet again on the other side.
