Robert Lamoureux

LAMOUREUX, Robert With sadness we announce the passing of Robert Lamoureux on April 9, 2009; dad, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend. Born August 9, 1920 to pioneers Hector and Elvine Lamoureux, Dad was a lifetime resident of Fort Saskatchewan. Husband, father, farmer, baseball, curling, hockey player and fan of them all, pipeline worker, Sherritt-Gordon employee, ambassador of Fort Saskatchewan, army veteran, Legion member, farmer's market founder, Catholic Church adherent - aspects of Dad's 88 years that touched many lives and he enjoyed them all. Dad was predeceased by our mother Madeleine (Chenier) in January 1992 and in February 2000 by Alma (Gaumont/Smith) his second wife. Surviving Dad are his five children and their families, three brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Michele (Ian, Cambria, Sydney, Rhianne), Gilles (Alva, Thea (AJ), Brett), Monique (George, Brian (Amber, Ladora), Pamela (Jeff, Lukas, Levi), Melysa (Garett, Madilynne-Rae, Tayte), Andree (Harvey, Danielle (Barney), Graham (Chelsie, Shardelle, Justine), Patrick (Patti, Taylor, Blair), Tony and Marivonne, Maurice and Henriette, Simon and their families. We wish to thank Dr. Stecyk for his care. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 10004 - 101 Street, Fort Saskatchewan, a Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Lamoureux, followed by interment in the Lamoureux Cemetery.
