Robyn Cecchini Obituary
Robyn L. Cecchini, 44, of Bethlehem, was surrounded by the love of her family when she peacefully passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013, at St. Lukes VNA Hospice House. She was the wife of Bill Cecchini, with whom she shared 20 years of loving marriage. Born in Bronxville, NY, Robyn was the daughter of Sandra (Bennett) Zigmund and Palmer Zigmund, both of Bethlehem. She was a proud member of the Grenadier Band, and graduated from Liberty High School in 1986. She earned her BA from Moravian College in 1991 and her MSW from Marywood University in 1994. She was a social worker for a few years before becoming a full-time mother. Robyns entire life was centered around her children. There was nothing she wouldnt do for her girls, and volunteered to assist in everything related to their lives. Robyn did not miss any of their activities, from field days, to sports, to musical performances. She dedicated her life to her daughters. Survivors: In addition to her husband and her parents, Robyn is survived by her daughters, Emily and Sarah Cecchini; her brother, Todd Zigmund and his wife Rose; mother-in-law, Helene Monturano, aunt and uncle Ron and Jane Bennett; brother-in-law, John Cecchini and his wife Dorie; cousins, Scott Bennett and his wife Tracey, and Melissa Carreras and her husband Stan. In addition, she had 10 nieces and nephews. Services: Funeral Service at 10 a.m., Friday, March 15, in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening, at the funeral home. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to St. Lukes Hospice, Development Office, 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Bill, Emily, & Sarah, it is with such a heavy heart that I write this note. I always thought of Robyn as a little sister, more than a cousin. I will forever remember her beautiful curly hair as a young girl and her huge captivating smile. I also will cherish memories like feeding the fish in my parents' pond and driving around in the golf cart with her, Todd, Bryan, James, and Jen. My dad even reflected on how he and Mom thought what a beautiful bride she was…and she was. What fun we had at her wedding. I so wish we had kept in better touch these past years.
Robyn was so dedicated to you, her family, and always focused on doing her best. I always admired her integrity, sincerity, and strength. She somehow touched everyone that she ever met with her caring way.

Dear Emily and Sarah,
I'm having such a hard time making sense of everything you are going through. Your mom was truly one of the most open and giving human beings I have ever met. I am blessed that I was able to spend time with her during my first year of teaching. She volunteered countless hours to help so many children, your very own classmates, shine academically at James Buchanan Elementary School.
The way your mom lived her life should be an example for all of us to follow. She embraced life to the fullest, gave her time wholeheartedly, and loved her family and friends unconditionally.

We were so sorry to hear of Robyn's illness and passing.
We have many memories of her growing up in our neighborhood with our boys and her Bennett cousins. From playing outside to car pooling in high school for band.
My fondest memory of Robyn was when we moved to the neighborhood, here comes this cute little girl in pigtails riding her bike down the street with our Gregg.
It was a great neighborhood to grow up in and this is where she brought her own family to live.
What a good mother she must have been as well as a great & caring daughter to her mother over the past few years.
