I only knew Roland for a relatively short time, but he was always in a good spirit. He was a very skilled carpenter, and never ceased to amaze me at the dedication he had at building things. He will be missed, but we will see him one day in a better place, amonst another carpenter!!!

Although, I did not know Roland, I understand I worked with Barbara years ago. I do know his brother, Virgil and Sister in law Mo. If Roland was half the man his brother is, he was a wonderful person. Barbara, may God fill your heart with the beautiful memories and peace of mind at this time of your loose.

Although death has seperated Roland from us.
At the finest level of our being, he is still with us.
We still look at him at that level beyond sight.
We talk and laugh with him in a place beyond words.
We still touch him on a level beyond touch.
We share time together in a place where time stands still.
We are together, called love.
But we cry alone for him in a place called reality

My Uncle Roland, if only word could explain how much he is loved. I will miss him dearly. I still remember at Canton, Roland and I setting out in front of his and Aunt Barbara's travel trailor waiting for Aunt Barbara and my mom(Shirley) to return from shopping. I know we talked for over an hour and had a reallly good time and I will cherish it forever. He was always in a good mood. Even when it was 100 degrees outside and they(him,Barbara, Emmett&ShirleySmith)were building rooms at the mountain and he was still smiling. I Love You Uncle Roland and Aunt Barbara. You both have a very special place in my heart forever!!!!!
Love always & forever, Amanda Coursey.
