We were sorry to hear of the loss of Ron Carlson. He was someone we admired and we appreciated his ministry. However, his loss as husband, father, and grandfather I know has left a deeper sorrow and I pray that the inexplicable and powerful comfort of the Holy Spirit will comfort and sustain you. I lost my own father suddenly at 45 on this same day in 1966 and know the power of the Comforter.

I've been blessed by Ron's ministry and we are thankful to him for being such a great witness for God. He taught me and my family through his ministry. Not surprised God wanted to take him home to Him.

I will miss hearing Dr. Carlson speak about the truth of God's existence and the loved expressed in His Son. Dr. Carlson did not mince words but was always careful to extend the love of Christ. I am sad that you all have lost Ron and I am thrilled that he has entered the presence of the Lord he served so faithfully.

Marge, Jason and Jared- We are in total shock to hear of Ron's death. What a wonderful man to know at Chapel Hill Academy so many years ago. What memories! It was truly our honor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We are sending our love and prayers to your family and hope that one of these days we'll get back to Minneapolis to cry with you in person.

We were so blessed to have him apart of our church family for the week he was there and know he will be sadly missed by so many. May his family find peace in the eternal life he now shares with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. God Bless,

Marge,Jason, Jered and family,
I was so sorry to hear about Ron's death. He was truly a blessing to the body of Christ and will be missed greatly. As a pastor I enjoyed having him speak at our church and referred to his work when I needed guidance in the area of the cults and non-Christian religions. I first met Dr. Carlson at a Worldview Weekend where we purchased everything on his order sheet. My son and I have since listened over and over to his CDs and DVDs. We have been so touched and encouraged by his love for the Lord and his love for those who do not know the Lord.

Dr. Carlson and his teaching have meant so much to my son and I ever since he led our mission's conference here at Woodland Park Baptist Church in 2009. God forever changed us through Ron's skill in apologetics by giving us the tools we needed to defend the faith in a world of "spiritual" confusion. I can still hear Ron saying,"You don't want to miss tomorrow night!" We pray for the family during this time of great sorrow. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Dear Carlson Family,
I have such fond memories of Ron and his father, Harold. They were both my instructors at Ecola Bible School situated on the grounds of the Cannon Beach Conference Center. Each time they returned to the Conference center as conference speakers or Ecola insjtructors, they took the time to find me in the kitchen. Ron would encourage me and tell me that he was praying for me. Their warm caring smiles and kind words are cherished memories during those 16 yerar. I look forward to more chats in heaven. Until then Ron and Harold's powerful witness continues to live on in lives across the globe.

Dr. Carlson was one man in a mega million as he was a brilliant reflection of the light of Christ. Jesus taught me and so many others a great deal through him. He will be missed dearly.

Dear Marge and family,

I want to express my sincere sympathy to you and Ron's ministry. He was truly a giant in the field of Christian apologetics and evangelism. I found out about Ron's work after contact with the late Dr. Walter Martin's ministry in the early 1970's. The quality of his information and teachings about cults and expertise from the Bible were first rate. Jesus told his disciples to feed his sheep and in our day Ron did this with great distinction. He will be sorely missed and he is now in a much better place for "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Ron has truly entered into the joy of the Lord whom he truly loved and left an earthly legacy for the Glory of God.

Prayerfully yours,
David Clark

God has beckoned home one of his saints, and as we know, precious is the homegoing of God's children. While you sorrow, it is not without hope but is with the joyful anticipation of being reunited once again for all eternity with Ron. Ron's ministry unto the Lord touched an uncountable number of people, and with his sons continuing to maintain his internet presence, potentially millions of others can be blessed of the Lord through Christian Ministries International. May God's comfort be yours in abundance! Yours because of Christ's love . . . Bracy Ball (for WordTruth.net)

I am so saddened to hear of Dr. Carlson's passing. I met him and heard him speak here in Wilmington, NC just a couple years ago at a Worldview Weekend conference. He was a brilliant man and had a heart to teach and see others understand a Biblical worldview. The Christian community will miss him dearly. My condolences to all of his family. I know you all must be in shock.

We were stunned and saddened to hear about Ron's death. He was the reason Don and I got to Fair Oaks, where we were so encouraged and supported in the ministry by Ron's father, Harold. I can only be happy thinking of both Ron and Harold being together again, and better yet, being together with Jesus. Marge, I don't know if we ever meet, but you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. In Him -- Cyd and Don Storrs

We have great memories of him and his family. Ron was a great guy and a lot of fun to be with and around. He will be missed. He was such a man of God. Loved his smile. I learned so much under Ron's teaching when he taught at Grace Church. What a man of great knowledge, wisdom and faith! My heart goes out to the family at his sudden home going. It is no mystery to the Lord why He called Ron home at this time but in our human minds it seems too soon. Praying for Marge and the rest of the Carlson family during this difficult time. Dear family of Ronald Carlson, I was very touched by your father when he came to Chippewa Valley Bible Church this year to preach for three days. We attended every night and I was very moved by his preaching. Someday I will read all his written work. Just to let you know that your father will be remembered by many and he touched the lives of many by preaching the word of God. Our hearts will forever be changed by Ronald Carlson, we will miss him greatly and was very blessed to have him in our church!

I also grew up with Ron, Jim & Julie at Lakewood First Baptist. The Carlson family was the heart of the church and we missed them when Pastor Carlson accepted God's call to another church family. As I heard about Ron and his growing ministry through the years I was honored that "I knew him when...". He was at a church about 45 minutes away a few months ago but I found out too late to go. I found his website and sent him a brief note of greeting, never expecting a reply. To my surprise, Ron responded warmly within just a few hours. I planned to go the next time he was in the area, but I was "busy" once again, thinking I could catch him next time around. I am deeply sorry for this loss to the Carlson family and for the loss of this warm, caring and loving man. I am sure he has already heard "well done good & faithful servant" from his Lord. He will be greatly missed.

Our hearts have been so heavy since learning of Dr. Carlson's death. If we are feeling such shock, we can't even imagine how his family is feeling. We were honored to meet Dr. Carlson two years ago at the Lamb and Lion Conference. Bob offered to help at the book table since Mrs. Carlson was unable to attend. Since that conference, we have attended several Worldview Weekend events and have been blessed by his presentations. We found him to be one of the most humble, genuine Christians that we have ever met. I was so moved by the tears that he shed as he shared stories of the Cuban people. He loved that country and truly desired that the Cuban people come to know the Lord. We will truly miss him. We know that God does not make mistakes. Sometimes it can seem like it. We are happy for Dr. Carlson and the joy that he is now experiencing in the presence of the Lord Jesus. But, we ache for his family and pray that the God of all comfort will fill you with His peace and wrap His arms of comfort around you. What joy awaits us all when we reunite around that glorious throne. May God bless and keep you.

Dear Marge and family:
We were shocked to hear of Ron's sudden death. This was the summer we planned to invite you to visit us at our cabin. We talked about it just a week ago. Now I ask myself, "Why did we wait so long?" A lesson learned: don't procrastinate the important occasions in life. We are so sorry we didn't have that summer get together that we have talked about for years. The world has lost a good man! Heaven's gain! Much love and many prayers during these difficult days. Donna and Dick

My family and I attended Lakewood First Baptist in the old days when Jimmy, Ron and Julie were growing up. I also worked at Forest Home one year when Ron was there. Watching everyone grow up and launch into ministry was such a authentication of the kind of family that they were. Pastor Carlson was one of the most warm and loving pastors anyone could have. He raised his kids to love and serve our Savior. Being at Forest Home, many times I would hear Ron coming and think that it was Pastor Carlson. He was so much like his Dad in every way. Jimmy is too except in looks. The voice, the mannerisms, the attitudes. What a loss this is to the world and his family but God knows his timing and is not surprised by this. Married now and remembering all of the Carlsons, I'm grateful for the chance that my husband and I had to know them. We're praying for you and looking forward to Heaven even more!

Ron Carlson was one of the most authentic, committed and loving brothers that I ever worked with. Having heard the clarion call to join the throng in the Lord's presence, Ron's loss has become heaven's gain. I loved and respected him.
