Sarah (Terry) Theresa Hurt

Sarah Theresa (Terry) Hurt passed away peacefully in Ft Worth, TX on Nov. 16, 2023. Terry was born Feb. 3, 1929 in Chicago, IL to James and Mary Braniff. Terry grew up in Chicago with brother James Braniff and sister Eileen Braniff Rodrigo. She attended St. Peter Canisius elementary school and graduated from Austin High School. She raised four sons, Raymond (Cheryl), Geneva, IL, James (Ann), Glen Cove, NY, William (Linda), Southlake, TX, Michael, Glen Ellyn, IL, in Westchester, IL, volunteering for many church, school, and sports organizations and activities. After moving to Glen Ellyn, IL Terry completed her bachelors degree and retired after a successful career with Nalco Chemical Co. to Bradenton, FL. She began a second career spending several years working in the Manatee FL Library System, before retiring a second time to Keller, TX. Terry wasted little time in Keller making new friends serving as an officer, including President, of the Grapevine, TX New Comers club

Terry is survived by her sons, daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren and their partners, nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, long time friends, Bill and Judi Glasner, and many friends and acquaintances. Terry enjoyed traveling the world, baking, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends. She lived her 94 years to the fullest, never one to waste a minute or a penny. She will be missed by all that loved her.

A Celebration of her Life will be scheduled in the near future
