The holidays are especially hard when dealing with the death of a loved one. I sincerely hope the happy memories you have of Tom will sustain you during this holiday season... Henrietta Debski Nasca a classmate of Tom's at St. Florian.

I had the privilege of knowing Tom during the "Inland Steel Days". Tom stood out because he was honest, caring, sincere, soft spoken: a true gentleman!
Rest in Peace, Tom.

I am another neighbor and classmate of Tom's. As one of the cheerleaders we enjoyed cheering the team to victory. He was a very nice young man and a great classmate. I am so sorry for your loss, and may the good memories bring smiles to your faces.

Tom was a Hegewisch (Escanaba Ave) neighbor, a St. Florian Classmate and most importantly a friend. Tom was the super Center on our St Florian Basketball Team and I still remember how he 'duked-it-out' with the big overpowering St Joseph basketball team when we played them. Tom continued playing on the St Rita basketball varsity and spent many evenings on the CTA bus coming home late after basketball practice. Tom, Rick Sliwa and I had our 'special foxhole' in Avalon Trails when it was still all undeveloped grassland and we even gave the Hegewisch Fire Department some unintended 'training time' one summer. Tom also gave of his time and basketball skills as a Coach to younger kids, in Hegewisch. And Tom was very proud of his service in the Marine Corps. Tom was a special person and he will be greatly missed. My condolences to Tom's family. Please put me on the notification list for Tom's Spring 'Celebration of Life'.
