VIRGINIA MARKOVICH (NEE WILSON) MERRILLVILLE, IN Virginia Markovich, age 84, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011. She is survived by her son, Don (Brenda) Markovich; daughter-in-law, Christine Markovich; grandchildren: Michele (Dave) Neal, Carl (Julie) Markovich, Adam (Amber) Markovich, Matthew Markovich, Brian (Kelly) Biddle, Jennifer Whitmer, and Kevin White; nine great grandchildren; sisters: Mary Florence Stivers and Mildred Borns; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph; sons: Michael and Carl; and parents: Samuel and Burksie Lee Wilson. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her 'Thursday Girls', her friends at Ahepa Phase III, and the girls at Excel Academy of Cosmetology. She treasured the time that she spent with her family and her 'adopted' sons and daughters. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street Merrillville, IN (1/4 mile south of the cemetery) with Pastor Gary Sobol officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2011 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the funeral chapel. For information, call 219-736-5840. calumetparkfuneralchapel.com
