William Baeza Obituary
Dr. Baeza was one of the most well-known chiropractors in Marin County, CA. He served his patients for 50 years, and was planning to keep going as long as he could, but was forced to retire due to his illness.
He had served our country in the Army during the Vietnam era and enjoyed sharing stories of his paratrooping days over SE Asia and scuba diving off the Okinawan coast.
Bill was a true Renaissance man: not only an incredible healer, but an accomplished woodworker, a Master Gardener, an avid golfer, and passionate artist... as well as a gourmet cook. He enjoyed sharing a delicious meal and a nice shot of tequila with his loved ones and good friends.
He also treasured traveling the world, but one of his favorite things to do was go on road trips up and down the West Coast. Everywhere he stayed he ended up making friends at the golf course or at the bed and breakfasts he stayed at on his trips.
Dr. Baeza was active over the years in the Rotary Club of Marin, The Master Gardeners Association of Marin, a former board member of the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce. His wife, Bernice (who passed away in 2012), was the CEO of the Lark Theater Renovation Project, and alongside her, he contributed his time and resources to the renovation of the historic Lark Theater in Larkspur.
He was a passionate supporter of the chiropractic profession and was a renowned speaker at Parker Seminars in the 70's and 80's and taught at Life West Chiropractic School in the 1990's. He also went to El Salvador on a chiropractic mission trip with 50 other chiropractors from around the world to serve the people there.
Surviving him are his daughter, Lara Fernandez of Phoenix, AZ, his grandchildren, Nicole Nogueras of Manhattan Beach, CA, Gabriel Nogueras of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Isabelle Fernandez of Roskilde, Denmark.
His surviving siblings are Joe Baeza, Jr of Sierra Vista, AZ, Ramon Baeza of Phoenix, AZ, Manuel Baeza of Cummings, GA, Mary Licano of Miami, AZ, Rachel Wright of Globe, AZ, Vicenta Jacobs of Austin, TX, and Dee Dee Ycedo of Gold Canyon, AZ.

Bill was my chiropractor for many years. He was also a dear friend who I spent a few years on vacation on Palm Springs. He will be missed by many.
