William Howard Obituary
William J. Howard, 76, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 after a very short illness. Having lived in The Villages, Florida for the past 12 years, Bill is originally from Vestal, New York. He served in the U.S. Army for 12 years and was a graduate of the State University of New York at Cobleskill. He was a restaurant owner for 26 years in Endicott, New York, and later worked for the Vestal Central School District, Conklin Players Club and The Villages Community Watch. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Joyce; daughter, Tamara (Tom) Witteman, Binghamton, New York; sons Michael and Jeffrey of Endicott, New York, and son Kevin (Ami) of Fithian, Illinois. Bill loved spending time with his six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Andy, Trae, Kamden & Brady. He is also survived by a brother, Jim (Barb) Howard of Oswego, New York; and a sister, Eileen (Ernie) Behrens, of Suffolk, Virginia. Private services will be held in Florida. Bill & Joyce are members of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church of Summerfield, Florida. Memorials may be made to Tuscany House, Summerfield, Florida. Arrangements made by Baldwin Brothers Cremation Society.
