Emily Kwan Obituary
Emily Kwan, a resident of Thorpe Village in Sparkill, died peacefully on March 5, 2012. She was born in China on March 29, 1920. Emily was a nurse came to the US in 1980. While residing in Tappan and Orangeburg, she was a parishioner of the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Tappan. Emily was a 25 year member of the Thorpe Village Senior Center and the Red Hat Society. She was predeceased by her husband William, who died in 1997. Emily is survived by her children, Norma Kwan- Waski (John) and Larry Kwan (Jerry); ; her grandchildren, Wilfred Chang, Agnes Chang-Ho, Nadia Waski and Paulina Waski; and her three great-granchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday , March 6th, 11am at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Tappan. Visiting will start one hour prior to the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Thorpe Senior Center, 175 Route 340, Sparkill, NY 10976 or the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 120 Kings Highway, Tappan, NY 10983.

Sorry to hear about your mother. She was a wonderful and very dear friend to my mother, Sally Grimm, who passed away almost a year ago. It is nice to know that they will once again be friends in Heaven and celebrating St. Patrick's Day together. I always enjoyed seeing her when visiting my mother and being greeted by her warm and loving smile. My prayers, thoughts and condolences are with you,
