Former Study Hall Student

Mr. Gregory was my teacher during study hall. He had the most amazing and caring personality. I was such a shy high school student with little self confidence and he was always very encouraging. His legacy will live on in the hearts that he touched.

Coach Gregory was one of a kind to say the least! He always had a smile, a kind word, or a little bit of sarcasm to get you going. Many years after I graduated Eastern in '92, I was on a jobsite installing some plumbing when I heard this booming voice say " everybody makes mistakes, some more than others". I swear I got chills because without even turning around I knew who it was. I went up to him and somehow he remembered my name. Loved that man and wish there were more like him..

So sad to see this. I ran across this sad news on facebook. Coach Gregory was always so nice to me! He was one of my favorite teachers. He always let me sit in his PE class when I didn't want to go to Algebra. :) He was a good soul. Heaven is blessed with another angel!

Sorry to hear of Coach Gregory's passing. Played JV & Varsity Baseball for him at Manual 74'-76'. He was always firm but fair.
He could get on me for making a stupid mistake( of which I made many) and be joking with me five minutes later. You will be missed...

When we were young and growing up, we often played ball on a small dead end street in our little town of Charleroi. The ball was made out of rolled up socks, and I don't even remember what we used for bases. We had a couple bats, and that was about all that was needed. The team selection process was pretty simple—two “captains” would alternate turns selecting from those who were there to play. If Terry wasn't the one doing the picking, he would always be the first selected. It was just a fact of life…he was simply the best. It's ironic that God would select him first. With that pick, Heaven just became a better place. I'm confident now that we'll get to play ball again. He's there looking for a dead end street. It'll be perfect…this I believe. My wife and I send our deepest sympathy to Terry's family and friends who are in so much pain right now. May the peace of the Lord which passes all understanding be with you in this time of grief.
