Helen Wallace Kuhn

Louisville - Helen Ann Kuhn, 74, of Louisville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 9, 2020.

She loved to travel, and most of all, to dance.

Helen attended Shawnee and Butler High Schools in Louisville, Kentucky as well as Bellarmine and the University of Louisville.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded by her loving husband, Nolan Anthony Kuhn.

Helen is survived by her children, Heather Kuhn and Ty Kuhn (Allison); two grandsons, Maddox and Mason and a brother.

Out of respect and concern for public health and safety, there will be no services. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews was entrusted with arrangements.

Helen, you and Nolan played a huge part in Gayles and my early married life. We were Heathers God Parents, Helen you taught me to color Gayles hair, Nolan and I spray painted your Rothbury brick home in Douglas Hills, you and Nolan gave us guidance when we built our Pool on Apache, Nolan helped us move, using his red Ford F150, from our home in xxxxx to Apache. After Nolan earned his Real Estate License he was our Real Estate Agent when we purchased homes. Nolans black Porsche 940 was my first and only Porsche I ever drove. Helen, I remember the trip you and Gayle took to Chicago, you wore you Lynx-Nutra fur coat, you were beautiful. I remember helping when Nolan cut the opening in your Dining Room wall on Hackney Coach to make it easier to enter the Kitchen. I remember Helen, Gayle, Nolan, and I attending the 99th Kentucky Derby also the 100th, but especially the 99th Derby. I remember the dinners and good times we had at your Douglas Blvd home. I remember Gayle and I helping you and Nolan move into Nolans parents home and the Dinners we enjoyed there. Helen, I remember when you, Nolan, Gayle, and I picked Ty up at his Eastern Kentucky School and drove straight through to Hattiesburg Mississippi to Tys new school then the four of us continued onto New Orleans during that 1st weekend of Mardi Gras and stayed at a Time Share Gayle and Gayle and I owned in the French Quarter. I remember Gayle and I purchasing your home on Lanark Dell after you moved into you new Rothbury home. We still own pieces of furniture and pictures we purchased from you and Nolan on Hackney Coach, that furniture and pictures are still displayed here in Gayles and my home in Newport News, Virginia. Helen, I dont know if you are aware, Gayle passed December 12th, 2019, hopefully, you, Gayle, and Nolan will now be able to renew your friendships in Haven. With fond memories, Ray (Bucky) Haley, Newport News, Virginia 05-12-2020 19:23 ET
