Martha White Obituary

Martha L. White LUBBOCK-Martha L. White, aged 71, passed away on February 23, 2016, after a long struggle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Martha was born July 4, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of William F. and Martha E. Crome. She was a proud graduate of Texas Tech University. Some of her most admired attributes were as a loyal, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a very private, but generous person as she touched many peoples' lives. She lived a very fulfilling life as an elementary teacher for Lubbock ISD. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kent; sons, Christopher and Matthew; daughters-in-law, Malley and Billie; five granddaughters, Brandy, Brittney, Madeleine, Katherine and Abigail; and her brothers, William and Robert Crome. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26th at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27th, at First United Methodist Church Chapel with Ruben Osuna officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29th in Resthaven Memorial Park.
