Dennis Coll Obituary

Dennis Michael Coll died peacefully in Las Vegas, NV on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the age of 74, with his family by his side. Dennis is survived by his sons Patrick of New York, NY and Michael of Danbury, CT, his sister Maureen Denicke, of Mill Valley CA, and brother Charles Coll of Austin, TX.

?Dennis was born on June 2, 1943 in Darby, PA. He graduated from Lansdowne-Aldan High School in 1961, West Chester State College in 1966, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Education, and from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1971. Dennis proudly served in the United States Army. After law school, Dennis was admitted to both the Nebraska and Wyoming State Bar Associations, spending the beginning of his professional life in private practice. He ended his career with the State of Wyoming Attorney General’s Office as an advocate for mental health reform and representing the transportation department.

?He was known for his intellect, wit, generosity, and love for life. Dennis had an off-beat sense of humor that was always intended to bring a smile. After retirement, Dennis moved from Southeast Wyoming to Las Vegas where he could keep the convertible top down and wear his shorts all year around. All that knew Dennis, knew that he lived life on his terms. He will be missed.??Per Dennis’s wishes, a formal ceremony will not be held. For those who wish to remember Dennis, a contribution to the VA may be made in his honor. For condolences, or additional information on Dennis’s life, please contact [email protected].

Dennis will not be forgotten. He had such a wonderful sense of humor, and was so very proud of his boys. I always enjoyed our many conversations and visits over the years. We especially liked to get together for St. Patricks Day even though it only was a telephone call in the last years.

Dennis dear friend , it has been a pleasure and a privilege to know you over the years . Your wit sparkled and brought smiles and the warmth of your friendship I treasure. I did not know that you had passed on until this afternoon. I did wonder about you when I tried to phone you this past month and found that your telephone was not in working order . I am so glad that I could talk with you and wish you a happy St. Patrick's Day last March . You were your usual upbeat and cheery self . Now you can say hello to my dear Carol who already is in heaven. Thanks for the memories special friend.

Dennis - I was perusing my bar association directory and wondering where you retired to, then I saw it was Vegas. Of course it was Vegas! Thanks for all the lessons you taught me while we litigated cases together. Always appreciated your spirit! Rest easy my friend.- Cisco Romero

Denny, you were such a great friend as well as being somewhat of a father figure to me & will certainly be missed by me as well as many others I'm most sure of. My soul is full of sadness & emptiness with your absence but know that you will never be forgotten by any means. Your stories were always great, your mind was definitely full of wit, humor, dirty jokes and so much knowledge and you never wanted from anyone. You definitely lived a life like no other, with all your wild experiences.
R.I.P. my dear friend, may you live on in the sea life & no, I won't eat tuna again, thank you. Haaha.. but now you no longer have to feel pain or suffer anymore.
I wish I had called you a week earlier than I did &/or that you called me when you were in the hospital so I could've come cya while I could - ya stubborn ol' goat,, instead I found your home empty a few weeks too late when I went to check on you & spoke with your neighbors,, but was good to learn that you weren't alone & your family was there with you til you moved on.
My deepest & sincerest condolences go out to all of you. Such a great loss.
Much love & respect, Nicki!!
