Sol Kaplan

SOL KAPLAN Sol Kaplan, 96, of North Las Vegas, passed away March 3, 2010. He was born Feb. 12, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was an eight-year resident of Nevada. Sol was a retired business owner/entrepreneur. He was married 67 years to his departed wife, Eve Kaplan. Sol was also a member of the National Checker Federation and famous throughout his family for his "Solisms." He was preceded in death in 1996, by his loving and adoring wife, of 67 years, Eve Kaplan. His daughter, Barbara Morgan left us in March 1999; and grandson, Jerome Morgan left us in May 2007. Sol is survived by his granddaughter and full-time caretaker, Cheralyn A. Reardon and her husband, Austin. Sol also leaves behind one daughter, Denean "DeeDee" Kaplan; two sons, Fred and David; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The remembrance of life for Sol Kaplan will be at noon Sunday, March 7, at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park, in Burbank, Calif.
