Dear Mrs. Rowell and Family,

My wife and I are greatly saddened to hear of Keith's passing. We had been clients of his for around 15 years, and my wife's uncle, Mark Carriker, had been a client for many years prior to that. We all greatly admired and respected Keith, his integrity, and his sincerity. We will greatly miss his friendship. I know we will not see his like again.

Dear Rowell Family,

I knew your Keith since I was a very small girl-when he was a very small boy. Our Mother's were very good friends as we all grew up at Hardison Baptist. Many a Easter Egg Hunt did we go to at his house! He is with Miss Rowell and Miss Emma(Shepherd)from now until eternity! And I know they are looking down on your grief and saying many prayers to give you peace.

Our families prayers are with all of you at this time.

Keith was a favorite person of mine in an endeavor to get Soccer on the board in Macon Ga. Keith stepped to the fore front. In the Early days of MGSA'S development as the project Mananger in behalf of the association I new I could count on him. He has helped provide for thousands of hours of chlidren at play and I will never forget him for his contribution of time and influence. I wish you peace in your time of sorrow and share my heart felt gratitude of the many who have benifited from Keith's contribution to our community.

You should know: Keith Rowell was a Founding Father of the Middle Georgia Soccer Association during the late 1980s. His fundraising support, personal contacts and professional integrity provided the resources, encouragement and credibility for MGSA to lead the youth soccer movement in this community. His efforts helped to build a 46 acre soccer complex across Eisenhower Parkway from Macon State College, which has served thousands of youth soccer players since 1990.

Keith had moments of joy and pride as he watched his son, Payton, test his stamina in early youth soccer games on fields that Keith helped to develop. Later he'd back back, even stronger and louder in support of his daughter, Amanda, as she honed her skills and played at a high level.

Certainly there are those who knew Keith's dignity and character in many ways, professionally and socially. But he was also an "unsung hero" to the youth of middle Georgia, throughtout Macon-Bibb County, in communities like Warner Robins, Dublin, Milledgeville and Jones County, whose roots in youth soccer can be traced to MGSA. Hundreds of families have enjoyed this sport as players and fans, in public and private schools, and church leagues throughout the area; some have played in State Championships, others earned college scholarships. If Keith Rowell had not been so dedicated and so willing to take the risk to help establish this program for children, where would we be?

Perhaps you didn't know these things is about this wonderful man. He will surely be remembered and forever appreciated. God blessed us with our Founding Father, Keith Rowell.

Keith was a wonderful neighbor. Always friendly, helpful, and kind. He was a role model of how a family man should be. He was a man of character and conviction. You could not help but like him. We shared an intense love of the Georgia Bulldogs and he shared many of his fantastic UGA stories. He was a family man blessed with a truly wonderful family that I know will miss him deeply. I feel certain that he lived more life in 51 years than most could live in 100! Please let us know if we can do ANYTHING for you.

Much love,

Your old neighbors, the Wilsons
