Marie Tapler Obituary
Marie S. Mom Tapler, 79, of Zionsville, died July 29, 2009 in her home. Born in Zionsville, she was a daughter of the late Mark and Carrie (Ruth) Diehl. She was the widow of William F. Tapler, who died Dec. 5, 2002. Mom formerly worked for the glove factory in Palm. She was a lifetime member of Upper Milford Mennonite Church. She appeared on radio and TV Service Electric Cable channel 50 on Saturdays and Sundays during the Pennsylvania Dutch Polka and Health & Happiness shows. She also participated on the show with her son son, Uncle Jeffrey on 247Polka Heaven.com. She was honored with her sons studio being named the Mom Tapler TV Studio A located in Emmaus. Survivors: Sons, Rick and his wife, Kathy, Bruce and his companion, Barbara, Michael and his wife, Jacqueline, Jeffrey and his wife, Sharon and Karl and his companion, Tara; brother, Victor Diehl; sister, Violet Haberle; grandchildren, Jason Tapler and his companion, Emily Fair, Jennifer and her husband, Adam Kernechel, Jessica and her husband, Kyle Bogert and Kyle Tapler; great-grandchildren, Autum Kernechel and Austen Kernechel. She was predeceased by a grandson, Bruce Tapler Jr. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. Viewings will be 6-8:30 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Upper Milford Mennonite Cemetery. Contributions: Upper Milford Mennonite Church, P.O. Box 296, Zionsville, PA 18068 or Macungie Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 114, Macungie, PA 18062.

Dear Jeffrey and The Tapler Family, I was at my Mom's house yesterday and had tuned into your show on SCTV channel 50 to have my Mom enjoy your show when we heard you mention the passing of your Mom. I was so sorry to hear the news since as I was hoping and praying each day that she was doing better.Jeffrey you have been the most sincere and warmest person I have met and are business and personal relationship has maintained over the past 20+ years (How time flies).Stay strong and never stop doing the good things you always do for others.

I'm so sorry to hear about Marie's passing. I'm also sorry we missed the services - we didn't hear until afterwards. Had we known sooner we would have come to pay our respects. She was a terrific caregiver to Samantha and Megan and made a wonderful impression on their lives. They still talk about the day 'mom-mom' made them try deer heart! She exposed them to such great experiences. They would have missed out on many things had it not been for mom-mom. I was so ecstatic when I found her-she was exactly the kind of influence I wanted for the girls. They learned so much from her and we will never forget the lasting impression she made. She will be truly missed.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Our condolences to the whole entire family on the passing of Marie. She was a very strong and compassionate woman for what she believed in. I remember the stories she would tell about "her" boys and the crazy things that they have done and her comments in Dutch. Her five boys were her pride and joy.
