Gary Obermiller Obituary

Gary W. Obermiller, 63, of Florida, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 unexpectedly in his home.
He was born June 1, 1954 in Cleveland and resided in Lorain for most of his life until following his dreams of living in Florida.
Gary was a beloved father and grandfather. He was known for his master craftsmanship, building and restoring homes and businesses. He enjoyed growing magnificent gardens and spending time with his family and friends in the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him.
He is survived by his children; son, Matthew G. (Kathleen) Obermilller of Sheffield Village; daughter, Candice A. (Omar) Cruz of Mays Landing, NJ; grandchildren: Grace C. and Elianna F. Obermiller, and Jomar A. Cruz; brothers: Melvin Obermiller of FL, David Obermiller of Nova, and Kenneth Obermiller of MO; sisters: Sherrel Clark of Brunswick and Joyce O'Brien of LA and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Carol (nee Steele) Obermiller and brother, Dennis Obermiller.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 12-1 pm followed by prayers and military services at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Lorain.
In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Gary's name.
