Alice M Speyerer

Alice M. Speyerer (nee Morgan), of Gloucester Twp., NJ,, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, at the age of 71.
Alice's journey began alongside her beloved siblings, the late, Georgette, the late Cynthia, Walter, George, Robin, Pam, and John. Her life was further enriched by her marriage to Joseph V. Speyerer, with whom she built a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Melissa Gabriel (Shawn) and Joey Speyerer. Alice later received the gift of her two treasured grandchildren, Olivia and Shawn Jr.
Known for her hardworking ethic, Alice spent several years at Dambly's Garden Center, pouring her passion for nature into every task. Her nurturing spirit later guided her to a career as a caregiver, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and empathy. Alice's heart of gold was evident to all, especially to the little ones who were naturally drawn to her warm demeanor.
A true adventurer at heart, Alice's bravery and zest for life shone through in her love for the great outdoors. She spent countless hours tending to her gardens, swimming in the lake, feeding turtles, and embarking on camping trips with her family. These excursions not only fed her soul but also provided a backdrop for the unforgettable moments shared with her loved ones.
Christmas morning breakfasts were a particular joy for Alice, as they represented an opportunity to bring her family together in celebration. Any opportunity to gather her loved ones around her, Alice took it. An amazing cook, she would delight her family with delicious pumpkin pies and blueberry muffins, her culinary talents only matched by her capacity to love and care for those around her.
Alice's relationship with her grandchildren was one of mutual adoration and respect. They kept a close bond, often engaging in a back-and-forth song exchange that celebrated their shared love of music. This connection was a source of great happiness for Alice and a cherished tradition that will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren. They will continue to remember her by the name she taught them to call her, "Mom Mom Gorgeous Alice".
As she grew older, Alice's relationship with Jesus grew and gave her the strength she needed each day. She was not afraid to show tough love when necessary, but her actions were always rooted in a place of deep affection and concern. She was just as quick to tell you whats what as she was to tell you she loved you. Her nurturing nature was a guiding light for her family and all who knew her.
A huge fan of Dolly Parton, Alice's love for country music was as much a part of her as her signature cowgirl boots. She used the tools she had to make the best of each and every day. Alice's adventurous spirit, loving nature, and unwavering resolve defined her as a brave warrior in the eyes of all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
Alice M. Speyerer will be profoundly missed, yet her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. Her life was a beautiful melody, composed of moments of love, adventure, and the joy of living each day to the fullest. We take solace in knowing that Alice's story is one that will be told with smiles, laughter, and a profound sense of gratitude for the time we were blessed to share with her.
