I am so sorry that you never got to meet your brother, Desmond. When he was very little, maybe 1 or 2 years old, he would kiss your picture that we have framed. Now he is 11 years old. He still tells me, "I miss Cadi.", as he has done over all of these years. We all miss you so very much.
We are lighting your candle today. We love you and remember you always.

I think about Arcadia several times a year. I was friends with mom and dad in the 80's but we had a falling out and lost touch. When they were very young I went and visited them and their new baby "Cadi" who was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. Truly, just a gorgeous girls. Cadi's mom introduced me to Mystery Science Theater and we watched episode after episode laughing with the baby next to us playing. It was wonderful. Dan was eager to please and went out and bought lobster to cook one night for everyone. They were wonderful parents who doted and loved this baby girl so much. I found Dan and Michele years later, right after their beloved child's death and lost touch again. Having three daughters I just cannot help but feel and empathize and wish this beautiful soul was still here to grace this earth with us. I know these lovely parents went on and are remarried and living their best lives I am sure, but I often think of them both and know how grateful I am that they invited me into their lives to meet this magnificent child, one that even though I only knew for a brief moment in time, has remained such a profound symbol of one of the happiest times in my life. Tanya, please tell Dan Tris says hello and if Michele sees this post, thank you for all the laughs my friend.

I just learned of Arcadia's passing last night, it's now 2023. She spent the New Year Eve of 2000 with me as I watched all the kids of family and friends so they could enjoy the night out while we had a kid party ourselves.
Her mother and I were friends for a brief moment through another mutual friend.
But my heart breaks for her. Through the years, I came across her photo that I took of the kids and wondered how she was.
If anyone from Arcadia's family is reading this .... I'm so absolutely sorry for the world losing Arcadia. I enjoyed her moments with me and had a great time. We had lots of fun! She was truly a remarkable young girl in my memories. - With sincere love, Doris
