Christopher "Chris" C. Copes
Of Stevens Point passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 10, 2024 at his home Age 41 Chris was born April 7, 1983 in Stevens Point. He is the son of Karen (Tim) Haase of Plover and Craig (Lisa) Copes of Iola, WI. Chris attended local grade schools, graduating from Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) in 2002.
Chris was a proud stay at home dad, taking care of his three loving children. In his free time, he enjoyed watching football with his sons, hunting and fishing, he loved animals and found peace walking in the outdoors on the land in Millcreek.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Portage County Humane Society would be appreciated.
Survivors include the love of his life Nina Martin and their three children Natalie Copes (Tyson), Jace and Trevor Copes. Further survived by his mother Karen (Tim) Haase, his father Craig (Lisa ) Copes, two brothers Adam Losinski and Jakob (Jaimie) Haase and sister Jayden Haase, and is Paternal Grandfather Fred Copes.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Herman and Eleanor Gagas and Paternal grandmother Janice Copes and his Uncle Herman "Butch" Gagas Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at St. Peters Catholic church. Rev. John Potaczek officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM Thursday at the St. Faustina Room of St. Peters Church until the time of mass. The Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
