Doug Hoffman

Doug Hoffman - age 73, of Linden, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Friday, April 11 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Dawn Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 PM Thursday; and 11 AM until the time of service Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Doug's family would like visitors to be comfortable and come in t-shirt and jeans, as that is what he would have wanted.

Doug was born January 31, 1952, in Goodrich, the son of Delbert J. and Gladys E. (Butterfield) Hoffman. He was a 1970 graduate of Lake Fenton High School. Doug was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Janet L. Stehle on October 10, 1992, in Linden. Doug was a wonderful father to Janet's three children, who he considered his own. He absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doug cherished game night with his family, along with a cold beer and tacos. He enjoyed motorcycling, camping, and was very patriotic.

Surviving are: his beloved wife of 32 years, Janet; children, Amy (Brian) Mann, Dawn Helgeson, Ronnie (Jamie) Helgeson; grandchildren, Lake, Justin, Lindsey, Trinity, Ashlyn, Brianna, Kelsi, Joshua; great grandchildren, Kinley, Saylor, Preston; siblings, Carol Austin, Helen (Scott) Poinsett, Frank (Sherry) Hoffman, Dolly (George) Patterson, Betty (James) Timbs, Sally Hoffman; brother-in-law, Tom Almond (Linn); several nieces and nephews; and his precious dog, Maxx.
