Fouad Balloutine

Balloutine, Fouad, age 83, of Saddle Brook, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Born in Haifa, Israel, Fouad had immigrated to the United States in 1962, settling in New York City. Soon, he and his wife settled in Saddle Brook where they raised their family. He initially worked as a construction worker. Always a hard worker, Fouad purchased and owned several gas stations and was the owner and operator of Balloutine Auto Sales on Route 46. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Saddle Brook. Fouad was the King of Barbecuing, an avid soccer player, animal lover, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and enjoyed the outdoors.
Fouad was the beloved husband of Leala (nee: Mattar) Balloutine of Saddle Brook. Loving father of Jennifer Balloutine of Garfield, Susan Balloutine of Saddle Brook, George Balloutine of Saddle Brook and Elias Balloutine of Saddle Brook. Dear grandfather of Sabrina Mona Burke and John Fouad Burke of Garfield. Dearest brother of Sami Balloutine and his wife Therese, Edward Balloutine and his wife Hajaleh, Mickey Balloutine and his wife Haim, Walid Balloutine and his wife Rosa, Fadia Nekleh and her late husband Albair, Souhela Sibani and her husband George, Yola Haddad and her husband Gereis and the late Rafi Balloutine and his wife Therese. Dearest brother-in-law of Elias Mattar and his wife Leila, Mattar Mattar and his wife Linda, Sharbel Mattar and his wife Hannah, Therese Damouni and her husband Ghassan, the late Carmela Mattar, the late Souraya Mattar and the late Mona Matar and her late husband Nile.
A funeral mass will take place at 12:00pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 488 Saddle River Road, Saddle Brook. Cremation will be private. Friends may visit with the family at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne, on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 4-9pm.
