Frances B. Fitzgerald, 96, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth Michek, and Thomas Fitzgerald. Frances was born in Westport on March 9, 1929 to the late Stephen and Mary Apster.
After Ken’s passing, Frances rejoined the work force and worked for many years in the Cafeteria at Nordins in Norwalk. She enjoyed word searches and listening to country music. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and friends.
She is the beloved mother of Richard Michek of North Carolina, David (Jan) Michek of Virginia, Gary (Ann) Michek of Shelton, and Mark (Lori) Michek of Milford. She is the proud grandmother of Kenneth (Sarah) Michek of Massachusetts, Alyssa Michek of California, AND Jessica Michek of Virginia. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Stephen Apster, Jr., Ann Martini, Agnes Stofan, and Stella Tekin. She was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law Cathy McKeon.
