Funeral services for Mr. Gary Wayne Taylor 67, of Farmerville, LA., will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Salem Baptist Church in Farmerville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Taylor Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA.
Gary worked at the Pecanland Mall for over 26 years as head of security and worked as a dispatcher for the Union Parish Sheriff's Department for 11 years. He loved spending time with his family, traveling, hunting, riding his tractor, helping his friends and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was born on June 15, 1954 in Gladewater, TX and passed away on March 19, 2022 in Farmerville, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha Benjamin Taylor and Melba McGinty Taylor, good friends, Jimmy Gray, Gary Lynn Albritton and nephew, Donald Taylor Armstrong. Also preceding him were close members of the Spillers, Holloway and Taylor families.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 13 years, Terri Bennett Taylor of Farmerville, LA; daughter, Janna Taylor Albritton and husband Scott of West Monroe, LA; step-son, Eric Bennett and wife Stacey of Downsville, LA; grandchildren, Marley Clevenger, and beloved bonus grandchild Piper Bennett; sisters, Rebecca Gholson (Johnny), Betty Brimer, father-in-law, Donnie Holloway (Nancy); ex-wife and friend of 30 years, Tammy Spillers Taylor, special friend Linda Bennett, and many beloved numerous nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be Scott Taylor, Mark Taylor, Eddie Albritton, Stacy Taylor, Steve Adams and Tommy Riechert.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Tryon, Micky Sewell, John Thomas Gholson, and Ron Holloway.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
