Iris Huang

Iris Huang, age 53, of Lincolnshire, passed away peacefully on 8/10. Beloved wife of Douglas Vana for 27 years. Loving and Cherished Mother of Adelyn Vana. Adored daughter of Wensiang Huang and Mei-Chiao Hsieh. Loving sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many.
Iris lived a full life and enjoyed traveling, cooking, and reading. It was easier to ask Iris where she did not travel to as she traveled extensively since the age of 19 with her favorite place being Europe, where she met her husband. Iris's cooking rivaled that of a five-star chef as food was a big part of her life, not only was taste important but the presentation was as well, and she had pictures to prove it. Iris loved to read and had her office lined with books, which she read numerous times. She was a walking encyclopedia and knew almost anything and everything.
Iris was a powerful and independent women that set goals and accomplished anything and everything she sought out to do, both personally and professionally. Iris will be sorely missed by many but will never be forgotten as she truly made a difference in peoples lives.
Visitation on Wednesday August 16th from 3pm to 8pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 Blocks South of Dundee Rd) Wheeling. Visitation to continue the following day at 10 am. A life celebration will begin at 10:30 am.
