James Gordon DaVault

James Gordon DaVault age 80 of Arlington, Texas passed away on March 4, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. James was born on June 20, 1943, in Durant, Oklahoma to Jake Cleburn and Florence Lorene (Tubbs) DaVault. James attended school at Cobb and later married Betty Johnson on November 7, 1959, in Arlington. James was a plumber by trade, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseshoes, trivia, and he loved playing with his grandchildren. He was a member of Gateway Church, Gateway Men's Brigade, and the American Legion.
James is preceded in death by his parents; grandson Jarod Dalton; siblings Delpha Townsend, Judy Curtis, Faye McLarry, JC "Burr" DaVault, and Dorothy Dixon.
James is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 plus years Betty Marie DaVault of the home; children Donna Heflin and husband Curtis of Arlington, TX, Shirley Putman and husband Ed of Claremore, OK, Leah Daniels of Arlington, TX, and James DaVault Jr. and wife Rebekah of Mineral Wells, TX.; grandchildren CJ Heflin and wife Emily, Derrick Heflin and wife Andrea, Ashley Dalton and husband Royce, Jessica Shaffer and husband Matthew, Karissa Putman, Nicaya Mehrebian and husband Arin, Trey Daniels and wife Jordan, Angelica Lopez and husband Abe, Joshua Daniels, Zachary Daniels, and Breana DaVault; numerous great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Ed Putman will officiate. Interment will follow in Mead Cemetery with C.J. Heflin, Derrick Heflin, Trey Daniels, Joshua Daniels, Zachary Daniels, Brandon Heflin, and Camerin Heflin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be James DaVault Jr., Matthew Shaffer, Royce Dalton, Arin Mehrabian, and Abe Lopez. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
