She is survived by her children, Conchita (David) Watts of Readyville and Mark (Katie) Smithson of Milton; grandchildren, Jason (Candi) Watts, Amanda Smithson, Erica (Russell) Loftis and Bradley Smithson and great grandchildren, Stratton, Rylan and Briggs Watts, Marshall Smithson, Alyssa Loftis, Branson, Brayden and Gatlin Smithson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Smithson and her sister, Elaine Elrod Shirley.
A member of the Antioch church of Christ, Ms. Smithson was a retired nursing home administrator. She was a typical southern belle who enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping and fishing.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Riverside cemetery with Bro. Tim Watts officiating. Pallbearers include her grandsons, Jason and Rylan Watts, Russell Loftis, Bradley, Branson and Marshall Smithson.
