Janet Wilcox Obituary

Published by Legacy on Apr. 22, 2025.
Janet Wilcox, a woman of deep kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her family, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy stitched together with grace, wisdom, and warmth.
Born to Frank and Isabelle Hill, Janet grew up with strong values that she carried throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gaylon Wilcox, with whom she shared many cherished years and a beautiful life rooted in love, laughter, and family.
Janet was the proud and devoted mother of three children-Barbara, Gary, and Paul-and a deeply loved grandmother to five grandchildren: Jessica, Sarah, Ashley, Billy, and Sherra. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her four great-grandchildren: Dylan, Peyton, Cole, and Jenna. She adored every moment spent with them, whether reading stories, playing games, or simply sharing her gentle presence.
A true artisan at heart, Janet was a masterful seamstress whose hands brought beauty and comfort to all she created. She poured her creativity into every stitch, and her artistry lives on in the quilts, garments, and memories she lovingly made. An avid reader, she had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and stories that inspired her vibrant spirit.
Janet lived a life of service and community. She was once a dedicated Boy Scout leader, a supportive teacher's assistant, and a proud member of TRANIT, giving her time generously and always with a smile. Her life was a tapestry of giving-woven with patience, compassion, and quiet acts of love.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The warmth she gave, the lives she touched, and the love she so freely offered will never be forgotten.
Though she may have left this world, Janet's light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
