Joseph Case Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson Funeral Home - El Reno on Feb. 25, 2025.
Joseph Charles Case II, born November 7, 1950, passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife and loved ones on February 23, 2025.
Joseph was born in Effingham, IL, and moved to El Reno, OK in 1984 where he met Patricia, the love of his life. Joseph and Patricia were married for nearly 40 years during which time they raised a wonderful family and were faithful members of Bible Baptist Church in El Reno, OK. Joseph was a vital member of the congregation through the years, often contributing to many construction and plumbing jobs for the church. He was also a church Trustee and the church bus driver for over 20 years. In his free time, Joseph always supported his children in their many extracurricular activities and was an excellent bowler.
Joseph worked for the City of El Reno at the Water Treatment Facility as the Plant Superintendent, retiring after 17 years. He then worked as the Facility Supervisor for the City of OKC, Lake Overholser Water Treatment Plant. Upon full retirement, Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family, taking various road trips, taking walks with Patricia and their dogs, and welcoming his very loved grandchildren into the world.
In Joseph's younger years, he was a record-setting track star and avid bass guitar player. After high school, Joseph joined the US Army and was stationed in Germany where he served honorably for 3 years.
Joseph is survived by his wife Patricia of their family home in El Reno, OK, son Joseph Case III (Chrissy), daughter Dawn Bishop (Jeff Soliday), son John Case, son Sean Case (Stephanie Sharpton), and son Brian Case (Janea); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Dalton, Nicole A., Nicole M., Jordan, Avery, Mavis, Maximus, Emma, Molly, Dilynn, Annabele and Bennett, 4 great-grandchildren, sister Barb Jenkins and sister Carolyn Stevenson. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Case and Elizabeth Irene Case.
Services will be held at Bible Baptist Church in El Reno, OK on February 27, 2025, at 10am. The final resting place will be the El Reno Cemetery.
If we but pause and listen close,
From life that speeds so fast,
We can hear that message sweet,
"Mourn not for me my friends,
FOR I AM HOME AT LAST"
