Joseph Raniolo, 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 31st, 2020, at the Mercerville Nursing Home in Hamilton, NJ.
Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in the Bronx, NY. As a young boy, he worked at Marconi Bros., the family furniture upholstery shop, in Manhattan. He joined the Army and served during the Korean Conflict, stationed at Fort Dix. This is where he met his wife, Theresa. They were married in 1951 at St. James Church in Trenton, NJ. After being honorably discharged, Joe worked for Diamond Brothers Furniture. The shop moved in 1958 to Reading, PA, and they relocated there. They moved back to Trenton in 1970. And then moved to Hamilton, NJ, in 1976.
Joe retired from the Lambert Furniture Corp in 1996. During his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Joe was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Antonette (Maccarone) Raniolo, his second mother, Catherine (Battaglia) Raniolo, his brothers Frank and Paul, his sister Jennie Dikovitch and his wife Theresa.
Joe is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and David Sensi, his grandchildren, Dean and Amanda Sensi and several nieces and nephews.

While I had three other uncles, my Uncle Joe was truly the only uncle that I spent an extensive amount of time with. I certainly have many cherished memories of him. I used to anticipate with great excitement when my family would travel to Pennsylvania and New Jersey to visit with him, my aunt, and my cousin. Uncle Joe always took the time to talk and play catch with me as a youngster. As I grew older, he had a sincere interest in my educational, career, and life paths. I appreciate the love he shared with me. "The secret to everlasting life is the memory of others."
