Judith Klyn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice on Jan. 14, 2026.
Judith Klyn (nee Krall) of Sarasota, FL passed away January 6, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Frank and Rose (Nemecek) Krall. She and her husband John W. (Jack) Klyn were married in a stone chapel on Sweetest Day, and lived in Perry, Ohio for many years. Judy, along with her husband enjoyed golfing at both Ohio and Florida courses. They also had a great time going on cruises, their favorites to Alaska and Egypt. They vacationed at their residence in Nokomis before settling in Sarasota. They devoted over 41 wonderful years to each other before his passing in 2018. They are now together again.

Judith always had a knack for growing plants, but especially flowers. She really liked her flowers. Over the years she tended to many indoor plants, but her outdoor gardens, containers, and hanging baskets were always exceptional. She had a fondness for the Epiphyllum or Nightblooming Cactus, and the Desert Rose both of which she had in a multitude of colors. She also kept Gardenia and Jasmine not only for the flowers, but because of their sweet scent, and the ever-blooming Hibiscus, and we must mention her beautiful Roses of all types and colors. Every time the flowers bloom she will be thought of fondly.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her daughter Christine Barnett; sisters, Charlotte Jowers, Rose Algeri, and Francine Konecny; brothers-in-law, Sam Algeri and Joe Konecny; and great-grandson Peyton Schroeder. Surviving Judith are her ever-loving daughters Catherine (Michael) Iovine of Painesville Twp, Ohio, Angela Untisz (Michael Hempstead) of Terrebonne, Oregon, Cheryl Tatonetti of Sarasota, Florida; her step-children, Robert (Maryann) Klyn, Deb (Barry) Tomazin, Mary (Donald) Mager, Maureen (Jeff) Zika, Matthew (Elizabeth) Klyn; a sister Mary Kay (John) Surry; grand-children Michael Jr. (Dawn) Iovine, Mary Rose Iovine (Jim Kukla), John (Allison) Tatonetti, Jillian Tatonetti, Kati Drake; great-grandchildren Angelo and Dakota Iovine, Johnny and Bailee Tatonetti, and Jack Duncan along with many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Catholic funeral mass will be held at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, FL at 11:00 am Friday, January 16, 2026. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
