Jung Yi Obituary
Born on July 27, 1950, in Jinju of Gyeongsangnamdo, South Korea she carried a life-long respect for all people; evident in her kind words, thoughts, and especially caring actions to heal and comfort the sick and ill.
Anna completed nursing school with Maryknoll Sisters in Busan, eventually working over 50 years in medical care and assistance as an OR RN.
She moved to America in 1974. In '78, she first met and married John (Jong-Woong Yi in Chicago, and became a compassionately strong and devoted Mother to her children Kevin and Jennifer She continued administering her assistance at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest until retirement, completing her career.
Anna faithfully observed and devoted herself to the communities of St. Damian Catholic, Korean United Methodist, and St. Paul Jeong Ha-sang Catholic Churches. We have been truly blessed with her grace and presence. Despite her last years of pain, she was continually charitable and compassionate to everyone she loved and cared for. Eternally grateful for her enduring everlasting spirit, we shall be forever cherished by those who knew and understood her sensibilities and immense empathy. Anna will always be remembered in the legacy of Love she departed.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 01, 2024 10:00 a.m. at St Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church. Interment to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
