Laurie Sharp Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 28, 2023.
You are invited to wear bright and cheerful attire. September 20, 2023, Laurie Ann Sharp, 57, of Highlands Ranch Colorado, passed away from heart failure during a trip to Europe to celebrate 30 years of marriage to her beloved husband, Mark.Laurie was born in Newport, Rhode Island. At an early age she enjoyed the delights of being in the ocean and playing with her family and friends on the beach. Laurie's love for the beach endured her entire life and most family vacations were planned with sand and salt water. In her early teens, the family moved to Colorado. Laurie graduated from Cherry Creek High School and studied accounting at Fort Lewis College.
In September of 1993, Laurie and Mark were married in Denver where they raised three children, Kayla, Sophia and Spencer. Although Laurie had 3 kidney transplants, she made the very most of her life. Laurie's joys were being with her family and friends, playing games, drinking mimosas during Sunday brunch and, most recently, being with her granddaughter, Aubrielle. Family was always the focus for Laurie, and she loved sharing her passions of shopping and traveling with all.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Mark. She is the loving and devoted mother of Kayla Hardy, Sophia Sharp, Spencer Sharp, son-in- law, Jarrod Hardy and granddaughter, Aubrielle Hardy; Mother, Carol Anderson, brother, Edward Anderson, nieces, Arielle and Analiese Wiedenbeck, and nephew, Josh Schanck; Laurie is preceded in death by her father, Edward Anderson, and sister, Cheryl Wiedenbeck.
