Mark J. O'Rourke

Mark James O'Rourke of Gibbsboro, NJ died on March 26, 2024 peacefully at home with his loving family at his side, 75 years young. Predeceased by parents James and Mary O'Rourke of Lindenwold, NJ along with siblings Joseph, Rosanne Moritz (Marty), Kathleen and Frances. Beloved husband of almost 46 years to Eileen (nee Skorup) and dad to James (Nikki), Christopher, and Kathryn (Giovanni Petrilli). Pop-pop to Tristan, Taylor and Austin O'Rourke and uncle to many close nieces and nephews.
Mark was a "gunny" on a medevac helicopter during the Vietnam War (US Marine Corps.) and worked at Owens Corning Fiberglass Company (Berlin, NJ) and RCA (Deptford, NJ). He was involved in the Lindenwold Baseball and Voorhees CER Wrestling programs and enjoyed his volunteer time with the Voorhees Vikings Youth Football organization where he served as president in the 90's and created many life-long friendships. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play youth football, lacrosse, field hockey and wrestling.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing on Sunday evening, April 7, 2024 from 6-8pm and again on Monday morning from 9:30-10:30am at the DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 125 N. White Horse Pike, Lindenwold, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Lawrence Church, 135 N. White Horse Pike, Lindenwold, NJ. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 260 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mark to the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
