Maryann Duran Obituary

MaryAnn was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her five grandchildren. Her grandchildren especially enjoyed her extraordinary face painting skills, her embellished holiday celebrations, and playing tea party.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Long; two sons, David Poole and Michael DeAlmeida; daughter-in-law, Natalie McCullough; and grandchildren, Raymon, John, Brayden, Eloise and Anneliese Duran.
MaryAnn is preceded by her brothers, Michael and Jimmy Duran; and husband, Joseph DeAlmeida.
Viewing will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at All Souls Cemetery and Funeral Center, 550 Glen Cove Road, Vallejo, California.
Rosary will be recited on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 8:30am funeral mass will follow with Father Rob Yaksich as celebrant both services will be at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM.
She will be laid to rest at St. Anthony's Cemetery in El Porvenir, New Mexico.

Mary Ann & I went to junior high together and we called each other "cousin" as her mother and my aunt by marriage were sisters. Many years later, we reconnected on FaceBook. I was struck by her positive outlook on life and how much she loved and enjoyed her family. I regret that we never got together in person like we said we would, but I am thankful, to have known her.
