Paul E. Chase Paul E. Chase January 8, 2011 Paul E. Chase, of Liverpool, loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Saturday. Born in Watertown on December 9, 1922, he was a retired sheet metal worker with the Sheet Metal Workers Local 58 for J&K Boiler Company, Oswego. Paul was a licensed St. Lawrence River pilot and fishing guide with the Clayton Fishing Guides Association. Paul was an avid designer and builder of custom furniture, creating many heirlooms cherished by his family. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, having served as an airplane crew chief with the 13th Attack Squadron in New Guinea, the Philippines and Okinawa. Paul and his wife, Mary, resided many years in Watertown and Clayton before relocating to Knoxville, TN, and recently moving to Liverpool. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Mary L. (Doe) Chase; children, Paula (Paul) Schultz of Oneida, Barbara Chase of Naples, FL, Cynthia (John) Gamage of Syracuse, John (Kim) Chase of Liverpool and Patricia (John) Connor of Syracuse; 10 grandchildren, Julia (Dan) Smith, Melissa (Paul) Schmidt, Jacob (Emily), Emily and Joshua Gamage, Sara, Rachel and Kelly Chase, and Kathryn and Leah Connor; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday from Holy Cross Church, DeWitt. Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery, Watertown. There are no calling hours.
