Phyllis L. Bacon, 82, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Sheboygan Health Services. She graduated from South High School, Class of 1961.
Phyllis was born on November 4, 1942, in Sheboygan to the late Henry and Marie (Backhaus) Miller.
On June 29, 1968, she married Jay P. Bacon in Sheboygan. Phyllis put her trust in her Lord and Savior, and looked forward to the gift of eternal life. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, where she attended Bible class and participated with the Agape group. Phyllis was known for sending cards with stickers to people for different occasions. She worked at Lakeland Manufacturing Co. Phyllis was a very active volunteer at various places, including Share, Golden Living Center and Bethesda Thrift Shop. Phyllis was a member of the Sheboygan Evening Lions Club.
She is survived by her sister Margaret Arms; great-niece Sarah Kruger; and other relatives and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Jay Bacon; her parents Henry and Marie Miller; her brothers Andrew and Robert Miller; niece Michele Leraaen; and brother-in-law Roland Arms.
A Funeral Service for Phyllis will be held Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1810 N 13th St, Sheboygan, WI 53081, with Pastor Matthew Shive officiating. The service will be available via livestream or recording on the funeral home's website. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd., Howards Grove from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The committal will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Sheboygan, immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Phyllis’ honor can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
