Phyllis was such a light in my life growing up. Whenever I needed another Mom, or even when I didn't think I did, she was always there with some clever thing to say that put things in perspective or validate my feelings. Either that or she make me go down to the basement and play the organ really loud. Always made me happy when I'd see her as we all grew older. Thanks for always giving me a place to land, Mrs. C. Peace, Light, and so much Love.

Dear Reno, dear daughters and sons, dear big family of Phyllis and Reno, Wolfgang and me feel very sorry, that Phyllis has gone. Its a pity, that she no longer can live with all of you! Tina wrote me about her desease and her sufferings, at least all of us can be glad, that she didnt had to suffer for a very long time and that she hat not to stand bad and long lasting pains! We remember very well the great Caneva - Gathering some years ago, when we met in Gräfelfing and Phyllis and me played harp and flute. We had a very nice evening in our garden and were happy! Thats a good remberance - so let it be!
Best regards to all of you, especially to you, dear Reno!

On behalf of the Joliet Area Theatre Organ Enthusiasts, please accept our prayers for peace and comfort. The Caneva's were very generous in sharing their talents and their Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ with fellow enthusiasts.

We were very sorry indeed to hear of Phyllis`sudden death. We knew her as the most kind-hearted and generous person and it was always a great pleasure to be together with her and her great family and her harp in Lockport or in some locations around the world.
She was amazing!
We know there is little one can say at times like this to alleviate the grief that bereavement causes but after Phyllis`serious illness her passing away must have come as a release from pain and suffering.
Please accept our sincere sympathy.
God bless you all .
We send all our love

Phyllis grew up with my late husband, Norm "Corky" Seaborg. Their mothers, both named Agnes, were good friends. I have known her ever since living in Lockport and the world will be a lesser place without her. She had a way of lighting up a room when she walked into it and I never met anyone who did not like her. My thoughts and prayers are with Reno and her family. Heaven inherited a beautiful angel that will watch over all of us. God Bless!

We met Phyllis & Family at Shephard of the Hill Church she & they quitckly became beloved family friends, whom we all love. Phyllis will always hold a very special place in our hearts & will be missed. more than I can say.in words. We are fortunate enough to have created a wealth of memories with Phyllis... There was church of coarse, Ruth Circle, choir, swimming at her house & many family gatherings. We loved her, her bubbly, vivacious personality & her daring strength to be different.. riding her skooter around town and the like. We all will miss the beautiful music she shared with everyone here on earth. Although, we are sure it will only have served as a preview of what her musical accomplishments in Heaven will be. Our condolences to the family, should you need anything, please let us know. We are here for you now & later, any time you may have our help

Phyllis will be greatly missed by her church friends down here in Cocoa Beach. She told us she learned to play the harp because that's the instrument that the heavenly angels play, and she wanted to be prepared!
