Reba F Helms

Reba F. Helms, 88 of New Castle, went to be with the Lord on November 25th, 2023. She was the owner and operator of Helms Hardware with her husband Curtis. They opened the business in 1961 and loved serving the Craig County community. Her passion was spending time and taking care of her family. She was a proud member of the New Castle Christian Church and loved her church family.
Reba was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty four years, Curtis Helms; parents, Dorsey L. and Minnie Taylor Francisco; sister, Muriel Persinger; brothers, Paul, Clay and Gary Francisco. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter's, Tammy Dillon (Randy) and Vickie Moore (Vince); grandchildren, Josie Flinchum (Ben) and Chad Carper (Elaina); great-grandchildren, Eli and Caroline Flinchum, and Genevieve Carper.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and Intrepid Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 29th, 2023, at the New Castle Christian Church with Bill Frazier officiating. Interment will follow at Crawford Memorial Cemetery/Paxton's Chapel. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
