Ruben displayed his loyalty and devotion to his family and friends. He married his sweetheart in 1954 they later moved to Houston, Texas and started their family of 4 children. He was loved by many family and friends. We will share many great memories and he will greatly be missed.
Ruben is preceded in death by his Wife, Gloria Chapa, Son, Raul Chapa, Father, Juan Chapa, Mother, Maria Chapa, Sister, Julia Cantu, Brother, Gilbert Chapa, Sister, Rodemira "Roy" Mican.
He is survived by his beloved family which includes his Two Sisters, Maria Mendiola (Luis Mendiola), Rosa Bocanegra; Two Sons, Ruben Chapa, Jr., Ramiro Chapa; Daughter, Rosa Linda Chapa; Four Brothers, Carlos Chapa, Mario Chapa, Adolfo Chapa (Dora Chapa), Juventino Chapa (Alma Chapa); 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, 9:00 am - 11:30 am at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas with a Rosary beginning at 11:30 am.
Rite of Committal will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
