Sherry Bailey Duncan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bearden Funeral Home - Dawsonville on Apr. 13, 2025.
On April 12, 2025, after a period of declining heath, Sherry Ann Bailey Duncan went home to be with the Lord.
Sherry was born on November 16, 1946, to Beland and Maxine Bailey of Dawsonville, Georgia. Other than a brief stint living in Hall County early in her marriage, Sherry was a life-long Dawson County resident. Smart and hardworking, Sherry was a natural born entrepreneur. Working alongside her husband, Floyd, Sherry helped to create and manage several businesses including chicken and cattle farming, boat storage, commercial real estate, and most notably, Duncan Exterminating. Sherry was a steadfast follower of Jesus Christ, serving in her church (Harmony Baptist) in various leadership capacities over the years.
Sherry will be greatly missed by her family, who wish to express their deepest gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of love and support that they have received from friends and loved ones in recent months.
Sherry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving behind her husband of 59 years (Floyd) three children (Tina, Brett, and Matthew) as well as eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her younger brother, Mark Bailey.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 2 o'clock at Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Tony Holtzclaw and Rev. Gary Coffey will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 8 and on Tuesday from 11 until 1 at the funeral home.
Ie lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund, 1575 Harmony Church Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
