Tim was born in West Frankfort on September 13, 1979. He is the beloved son of Gary and Julie (Wilkinson) Hammers. Tim was a kind and thoughtful person who touched the lives of many. He had a deep love for his children, Hazel and Henry, and cherished playing outside, going to the park, and going to the zoo. He enjoyed taking Henry to monster truck shows. He also enjoyed watching Disney and going to Disney World with his family. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and had a deep admiration for his Galaxie 500 classic car. He was an avid Cubs fan.
Tim graduated with high honors from La Salle-Peru Township High School in 1998, where he participated in many sports, but had a special love for football. He then graduated from North Central College in Naperville, where he was captain of the football team and earned All-American honors. He had a special bond with his cousins, sharing countless memories filled with laughter and love.
Though his passing leaves an indescribable void, we hold onto the love, laughter, and moments we shared with him. His life was valuable and meaningful, and we will continue to honor him in our hearts.
Tim is survived by his loving children, Hazel Jean and Henry Alan; his wife, Christa (Washelesky) Hammers; his parents Gary and Julie Hammers; great grandpa Warren Wilkinson; great grandma Virginia Hammers; as well as many family, friends, nieces, nephews who will forever cherish his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to support his young children Hazel and Henry, in his memory.
