Verl Hisel

Verl Hisel was born February 2, 1960, in Madison County, KY and departed this life Saturday, October 4, 2025 at his daughters in Berea, at the age of 65. He was the son of Elbert Lee Hisel of McKee and of the late Ola Jean (Pennington) Hisel.
In addition to his father, Verl is also survived by three daughters, Misty (Mark) Smith of Somerset, Tiffany (Eric) Turner of Red Lick and Nikki (Brandon) Kirby of Richmond. Other survivors include a sister, Deanna Isaacs of McKee and by two brothers, Darrell (Debbie) Hisel of McKee and Jerell Hisel of McKee. Verl was blessed with five grandchildren, Isiah (Morgan) Baker, Katilyn (Duke) Pearson, Bailey Pearson, Zack Kirby and Lelend Kirby; by four great grandchildren, Layla Gabbard, Tate Baker, Reagan Fields, Maizlynn Lewis; and by a host of very special aunts, uncles and nephews.
Other than his mother, Verl was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy & Lela Hisel and Fred & Louise Pennington.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Kerby Knob Baptist Church with Bro. Darren Hisel officiating. Burial to follow in the Powell Cemetery. Pallbearers: Darrell Hisel, Jerell Hisel, Isiah Baker, Zack Kirby, Lelend Kirby, Dustin Hisel, Jordan Hisel, & Luke Hisel. Honorary pallbearers: Mark Smith, Eric Turner, Brandon Kirby, Duke Fields, Bryant Cooper, Nate Turner, Gary Wellman, Harold Durham, and all of the Allen Company employees.
