Walter Labno Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care on Apr. 26, 2025.
Walter A. Labno
A Resident of Ormond Beach, Florida for 4 ½ Years
Funeral Service for Walter A. Labno, 64, will be Monday, April 28 from 9:00am – 10:30am at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, Illinois. Interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin, Illinois.
Born May 4, 1960 in Chicago to the late Walter and Lleanne, Walter passed away April 16, 2025 in Daytona Beach, Florida. He will be remembered for his big heart, easygoing spirit, sense of humor, the joy he found in the outdoors, his hobbies, and the time he spent with those he loved most.
Walter loved living in Florida and truly made the most of every sunny day. Whether it was taking his beloved Jeep for a ride, riding his E-Bike, or tending to his lawn and garden (plants/flowers) with care and pride, he found peace in the outdoors. His yard was always immaculate - a true labor of love that reflected his attention to detail and his appreciation for beauty.
He enjoyed lounging by the pool, walking the beach, and collecting all sorts of odds and ends, often things he didn't need, but that brought him joy nonetheless. A true family man, Walter cherished every moment spent with his kids, grandkids, and two beloved dogs.
He was the kind of person who made you feel at ease, someone who found happiness in everyday moments. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the quiet strength with which he cared for his family and his home.
Loving husband of 36 years to Rhonda; beloved father of Jaclyn (Homer Denson) and Matthew; cherished grandfather of Eli and Iroh Denson; adored brother of Mike, Julie, Mark, and Ruthe (Guy) Dembinski; beloved uncle of Drake Dembinski, Kelly and Kathy; dear son-in-law of Andrea Tropstein and the late Ronald Tropstein; devoted dad of his two pups, Oliver and Dottie;
