Violet M. Nash

Springfield - Violet M. Nash passed from this life to her Heavenly home on January 6, 2018 at 100 years of age. She was born on April 17, 1917 to Oliver and Edith (Doran) Clark.

Violet owned and operated Homeland Grocery for years. She was a member of Elwood Full Gospel Word Church. Violet was a seamstress and was always ready to help anyone in need.

Proceeding her in death are her parents; husband, Clell Nash; sons, Paul and Raymond Teal; daughter, Fay Ola Batson; and sister, Ollie May Cope.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Nash; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; daughter in-law, Dottie Batson; son in-law, Marvin Batson; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. with a visitation held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 W. State Highway EE Springfield, MO). Burial will follow in Brookline Cemetery.

So sorry to here about Violet. She was and is a great lady. My sister an I meet her and Clell though are stepdad Raymond Clines and our mom Marie. Have many good memories of them, and there boys Raymond and Rodney and Fay Ola. Are prayers are with you all. Wenonah Plowman.
